Dorothy DeLong Single WebPage Design-Case Study
My client, Dorothy Long, is a talented photographer. She captures moments in time with photographs. Showing the strength it takes for women to be vulnerable enough to express their thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and those that support them.
The project goal was to create a functional minimalistic photography portfolio. Inpired by Bettye Lane's work. Dorothy chose Bettye Lane's and two other feminine photographer's webpages as examples.
With this in mind, and as a nod to the blue typography on Bettye's website, the blue used was collected from the blue in Dorothy's T-shirt found in her hero image.

The biggest challenge for this project was going beyond a simple webpage. After all, Dorothy's passion is her work. This is why I chose Dorothy's headshot and her quote as her hero image.
Though, it's her passion that gives her photos a uniquely high value. As my first design project, in addition to meeting project goals. I have showcased Dorothy's work and her strength to be vulnerable.
